Topaz accompanied by Quartz and Feldspar
Color and Clarity:
There are varieties of topaz that are characterised by high quality of clarity and availability in different colours from colourless to blue, yellow, brown or even pink. But the addition of topaz together with quartz and feldspar in these specimens creates a new aesthetics. Quartz possibly provides a pure and clear background to the topaz which helps to accentuate the stone beautifully, feldspar offers the natural shades plus texture to the gemstone.
Crystal Structure:
The common shapes of this mineral are prismatic and they often possess a vitreous shine. As for the specimen, the fusion with quartz is noteworthy for its complexity of geometrical designs and for the difference of the two minerals. While Feldspar might give a hint of opacity and warm glow that will be a nice contrast to the transparent/translucent topaz.
Formation and Origin:
These are some of the topaz specimens that have taken millions of years to be formed under very high pressures and temperature. I suggest that people, who are interested in the specimens including quartz and feldspar, should understand that the formation of each of these pieces is a fascinating process and does not remain the same single kind of activity. They are collected from the well-famed mining area of Gilgit-Baltistan which is famous for yielding superior quality gems.
