Since the 1970s, the Tucson Gem and Mineral Exhibition® have attracted visitors from all over the world. It was the first gem and mineral show to bring together hobbyists, the general public, and curators/professionals for discovery and conversation.

1. What is the number of shows in the Tucson Gem, Mineral, and Fossil Showcase?
The following events will be held in September 2021 and January 2022, with dates to be announced soon! For more information, go to tucsongemshowapp.com.
2. How big is the Tucson Gem, Mineral, and Fossil Showcase?
On average, about 65,000 people attend the winter exhibitions.
3. When are the programmes going to be on?
The shows are open from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. and closing between 6 and 8 p.m. Exact show timings may be found in the show listings.
4. What kind of exhibits are on display during the exhibitions, and what can I purchase?
Everything from jewels to meteorites to rare diamonds and petrified wood boxes can be found. Loose stones, jewellery, African art, beads, polished stones, minerals, fossils, and gifts are all available from dealers. More information may be found in the winter Gem Show listings.
5. Where can I book a hotel room for the event?
Please contact Visit Tucson Visitor Information Services at 1-800-638-8350 if you require accommodations for less than 10 room nights. 6. Will there be food available during the shows?
Yes. The majority of concerts include a range of food vendors on site or are near to eateries.
7. Is it possible to have rocks, jewels, or minerals identified?
Appraisers are available on some shows. Before making a purchase, like with any other, it’s a good idea to conduct some research.
8. I don’t want to take my valuables home with me on the airline. Is there a place where I can get them packed and shipped?
On-site packaging and shipment are available at some exhibitions. Inquire about certain performances.
9. Is there anything more I can do at the shows?
Each year, the Tucson Gem & Mineral Show® features one-of-a-kind museum-quality displays. The world’s biggest meteorite or a five-foot-tall geode are among the unique or rare items on display at most of the events. The events are also a fantastic chance to meet and network with individuals from all around the world.
10. How do I place a classified ad in Gem Show Guide?
Madden Media and Visit Tucson have collaborated to create the Official Tucson Gem, Mineral, and Fossil Showcase Program Guide and Map. Priority is given to previous advertisers as well as the shows themselves when it comes to advertising chances. Other Showcase publications, such as Metaphysical Guide Magazine (metaguide@earthlink.net) and Tucson E-Z Guide (xsupport@xpopress.com), may provide advertising possibilities.
11. How can I get a copy of the Gem Show Guide in the mail?
The guides are printed close to the Showcase opening to accommodate all of the participating acts and are not accessible in advance via U.S. Mail. The Official Tucson Gem, Mineral, and Fossil Showcase Program Guide is available in paper form at the Southern Arizona Heritage Visitor Center and at all gem shows. Prior to the event, a PDF version of the guide is available on VisitTucson.org.
12. Have future Tucson Gem, Mineral, and Fossil Showcase dates been set?

What’s the Best Way to Get Around the Gem Shows?
Over 4,000 exhibitors and purchasers from 42 states and 17 countries attend the Tucson Gem, Mineral, and Fossil Showcase, which takes place in 50 sites. Use the Tucson Sun Link streetcar to combine your gem show stops with a tour of downtown Tucson eateries and entertainment. There are several parking possibilities; here are some helpful hints:
Park at any of the downtown garages. Prior to the exhibition, the Official Tucson Gem Show Guide mobile website is updated.
Sun Link is a streetcar system that runs on the sun.
Main Gate Square, Historic Fourth Avenue, Main Tucson, and Mercado San Agustin are the four downtown eating and entertainment districts served by the tram. On the streetcar, cash is not accepted; instead, use the free GoTucson Transit mobile app (also GoTucsonTransit.com) to purchase a one-day, three-day, or 30-day SunGo pass. Suntran.com/fares passes.php contains information about purchasing Tucson Transit tickets, whether you’re an iPhone or Android user.
Parking Meters
Pay for parking with your smartphone at one of the 1,800+ metered spaces. Notifications for smartphones are available. Use the GoTucson Parking App to find a parking spot: GooglePlay is where you can get it. It’s available for download on iTunes.
Tugo Bike Share is a bike-sharing service.
